Skiing Experience
Having learnt to ski at the age of four, and snowboard at the age of 11, both in Scotland, I had my first taste of instructing in January 2009, and immediately fell in love with it.

Since those first few weeks I have become hooked on the satisfaction gained from self-improvement and helping others to do the same.

To me, snowsport instructing is an opportunity to travel the world, so I am lucky enough to say that I have taught across various countries in Europe, Asia, the Antipodes, and South America, as well as having skied a little in North America (don't worry, Africa and Antarctica are both on my list!).
Teaching / Guiding Experience
I have been instructing for over 25 winter seasons and hold qualifications with both the Australian and British snowsport instructor associations. I gained my snowboard instructor certification back in 2010, my off-piste guiding certification in 2012, and completed the highest possible ski instructor certification in 2016.

Other Info
I have two mottos with regard to snowsport instructing: "safety, fun, learning" and "make friends and go riding". In an environment with many potential hazards the safety of the people we are skiing and riding with should always be the priority of the instructor in my opinion. It has been repeatedly proven by psychologists and sociologists that learning through play is the most effective way to discover, understand and master new things, whether you're a child of 5, or a child of 55 (or even an adult)!

By creating a fun, relaxed environment where I look after your safety we can learn more, and faster ensuring you have not just a great holiday this trip, but in your future holidays.
