Skiing Experience
Skiing since I could stand, it’s become my lifelong passion. It became my career in 2004. I found snowboarding in 2006 and enjoy riding in bottomless powder and turning people on to amazing snowsports in an amazing part of the world.
Teaching / Guiding Experience
I began my snow sports career in Taos, NM and am currently based in the steeps of The San Juans in Colorado.
Experienced in Japanese terrain, snow, and culture to offer the best experience in japan!
Other Info
As a lifelong student, I currently hold my Level One AAIRE. I’m a certified Emergency Medical Technican and find my critical thinking skills an asset to all outdoor recreation. photography has helped to realize the pure bliss of life in the snow! I almost always have my camera with me to help you enjoy every bit of mountain life....

Hans was a great teacher for all levels and showed a great detail and support and encouragement for our 12 year old daughter who likes to learn “at her own pace”. He was always positive whether he was teaching the kids or the grownups. Many thanks for all the photos. Take care and all the best - The Woods.

We are beginners and after 2 days session, almost all of us able to complete a green lane. Hans is a great Instructor! He is detail in teaching, patient and save us when we are in trouble with his great and powerful body. His English accent is easy to understand and use to get you catch up difficult thing in simple manner. Special thanks to Hans for this wonderful photograph and bring us so much special memory. Also the manager George, his well organizing the class and take care us. The early preparation of the rental gear is the very best move that will make us to immediately get into the class.
